The Business Unit Energy Policy is concerned with designing and evaluating energy policy strategies and instruments, monitoring energy policy targets and the impacts of energy policy instruments on growth and employment as well as the competitiveness and innovative strength of the economy.

The topics of the Business Unit Climate Policy include shaping the international climate regime and climate policy instruments and their impacts on the environment, the economy and society.
