The project strengthens Carbon Management (CM) in Bulgaria, Romania, Poland and Latvia by building the capacities of institutions and civil society.
The key measures include:
- Research to improve understanding of CM,
- Capacity building and knowledge exchange between authorities and civil society,
- Development of monitoring models to measure the effectiveness of the project,
- Raising awareness and co-creating CM strategies with local communities and authorities.
Capacity building workshops engage government agencies, civil society and business actors to enable them to implement CM strategies with social and environmental protection measures.
By promoting good governance and transparency, the project ensures that CM initiatives deliver real climate benefits and avoid social risks. This cooperative approach paves the way for effective implementation of CM in the target countries.
