Chie Endo (Ode) majored coordination chemistry at The University of Tokyo in Japan. She studied the relationship between physical and structural properties of molecular materials and completed her master thesis titled “Development of functional metalladithiolene crystals with novel molecular arrangement constructed by supramolecular sigma-hole interactions“ in 2017.

After receiving a master degree, she started to work for a Japanese national organization, the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and had been involved in managing funding programs in material science, energy science and information & communication technology.

Since 2021, she has been a visiting researcher at Fraunhofer ISI. Her main research interests are the comparison of national innovation systems, technological trends and research funding policies in Germany and Japan.
