Thomas Jackwerth-Rice

Project Manager

Between 2001 and 2007 Thomas Jackwerth-Rice studied sociology with a focus on organizational sociology and qualitative social research at the University of Bamberg. Since then he has been interested in social scientific innovation research. After completing his degree he worked for five years for different companies in requirements and project management, most recently for a large German transport and logistics group. Between 2012 and 2018 he was a researcher at the University of Oldenburg where he obtained his doctorate as part of the joint project “COLLIN - Collaborative Innovations“ funded by the Volkswagen Foundation. At the same time he taught an extra-occupational Master module “Innovation Management“ and other courses. His doctoral thesis addresses the organization and implementation of collaborative innovations in the German wind energy industry. Since 2018 Thomas Jackwerth-Rice has been working in the Competence Center Policy and Society. As of February 2024, Thomas Jackwerth-Rice will work as a project manager and organizational consultant for private and public clients as well as author of academic publications on digital inclusion, organizational capabilities and corporate culture.
