Martin J. Kirstgen holds a doctorate in law and has been working as a Senior Scientist in the »Foresight for Strategy Development« Department since May 2023. As a project manager, he records and analyses future-relevant changes and their legal and social implications for customers and clients from industry and politics and integrates them into strategic decisions. His focus is on the stakeholder-orientated preparation of the interactions between system-different future dynamics on the basis of scientific studies.

He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of workshops and moderated dialogues in which he develops options for action with stakeholders from various industries and sectors and provides them with resilient strategies for the future. He covers a wide range of topics, with particular expertise in the area of future dynamics and legal frameworks at national and international level (EU) and the economic and social dimensions of change.

Martin J. Kirstgen studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the University of Cologne. In his doctorate, he focused on the criminal liability of doctors and the challenges posed by new medical developments from a legal and ethical perspective. After completing his second state examination in law, he worked in litigation PR and crisis communications and designed communication strategies for large international commercial enterprises, pharmaceutical companies and asset managers.
