Ex-post evaluation of the programme "Verbändeförderung"

The funding programme "Verbändeförderung" supports environmental and nature conservation  associations in their efforts to anchor and strengthen environmental behaviour in the German society. The associations get funds for a 2-years period with a maximum of 150,000 euros. The programme is financed by the Federal Environment Ministry and is implemented by the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) and the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN).

The evaluation looks at the funding period 2008 to 2020 and analysis the relevance, effectiveness and the efficiency of the programme.

Furthermore, the impacts, outreach and sustainability of the programme are analysed. The evaluation analysis the programme’s efficiency by looking in particular into the internal administrative processes. The results of the evaluation form the basis for the development of recommendations for action for the future design of association promotion.
