Project

Mapping the Research and Innovation Ecosystem in Dubai

Within the project, a large-scale analysis of Dubai’s innovation system will be conducted, covering key components of the system including science and tertiary education, knowledge transfer, business structures and innovation, and STI policy.

The aim is to support the client in shaping and further developing its science and innovation policy agenda in the context of the government’s D33 strategy.

A mixed-methods approach will be employed. Core elements include patent indicators and bibliometrics, stakeholder interviews, workshop formats, international benchmarking analyses, as well as policy labs and policy analyses.

As the main deliverable, a final report will be produced that, in addition to the innovation system analysis for the Emirate of Dubai, also includes an STI strategy in the form of a fully developed policy roadmap.
