Dr. Aaron B. Rosa

Aaron’s work has focused on three primary areas of the method and praxis of alternative futures studies and governance.

Firstly, methods and processes for the participatory development of alternative images of the future are at the center of all his pursuits – including the experiments and the design of platforms that can facilitate such social governance practices.

This then has inspired his research in New Media and socio-technological theory, to better understand the advantages and dangers of deploying different media for alternative futures research.

In viewing alternative futures as pluripotent social and political zones of contestation, Aaron’s more technical research has focused on the new spatio-temporal relationships that Mixed Reality systems create and novel modes of interaction that can be utilized to further democratize the creation of images of the future and their contents.
