Dr. Aaron B. Rosa

Researcher

Dr. Aaron Rosa is a researcher in the Department of Foresight, where he has worked since 2016. His recent work centres on European research and innovation policy, contributing to projects including Eye of Europe, Future Research and Technology Infrastructures for Europe (FOD RTI), and BOHEMIA, which supported the preparation of EU Horizon Europe. He has led participatory scenario work addressing critical policy domains such as post-COVID futures, asylum and migration, infectious disease preparedness, global governance trends (TRIGGER), and sustainability transitions. His research on citizen engagement in foresight—particularly methods for integrating public perspectives into agenda-setting—has been published in Futures and the European Journal of Futures Research.

Prior to joining Fraunhofer ISI, Aaron developed expertise in immersive scenario methods through projects with the Hawaii Research Center for Futures Studies, the UN Development Programme, Singapore's Prime Minister's Office, and the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. He holds a PhD in Political Science (Alternative Futures) from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa.
