Policy makers at European, national, regional and city levels are looking at emerging digital trends as they seek to transform industrial value chains through reliable, regularly updated and comprehensive data on digital transformation and Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) to support business stakeholders as they modernise European industry.

The study monitors and analyses the development and deployment of digital and key enabling technologies across EU industries:

• In a systemic and holistic way that aligns the relevant digital and KET initiatives under a European industrial transformation umbrella
• In a value chain perspective that helps policy makers to understand trends at the technology-generation and exploitation stages, and how industrial value chains are reconfigured through digitalisation and KETs

In a strategic perspective that helps European and national policy makers to position the EU against other major competitive economies and advise on strategic actions
