Dr. Mahsa Bagheri

Researcher

Since 2019, Dr. Mahsa Bagheri has been working as a researcher and project manager in the Business Unit Energy Policy of the Department of Energy Policy and Energy Markets.  

Her research emphasizes the social dimensions of the energy transition, particularly in the building sector, with a focus on behavioral changes and energy sufficiency.   

Mahsa Bagheri studied Architectural Engineering (B.Sc.) at Shiraz University in Iran and received her master’s degree in Architecture, Building and Planning (M.Sc.) from the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. Her master thesis, as part of a research on sustainable development, focuses on the land-use changes in the historic buildings in Querétaro, Mexico. In September 2024, she completed her PhD at the Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany). She wrote her dissertation on reducing energy demand in the residential sector through behavioral changes and innovative spatial use solutions.
