On November 4, 2025, Dr. Bernd Beckert gave a presentation at the IHK Reutlingen at the “IHK Network Meeting: AI-driven innovations in value chains”.
How can businesses become more innovative and efficient with AI? At present, there is no shortage of advice and offers concerning the subject of artificial intelligence in businesses. But what is the hype surrounding AI all about? What do businesses really need to prepare for? Where should they start?
Prof. Andreas Bildstein from the DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen (Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University) and Dr. Bernd Beckert from Fraunhofer ISI presented fields of AI application in innovation management and in SMEs’ value chains. In the subsequent exchange of experiences with representatives from around 40 SMEs in the region, it became clear that local IT service providers are already offering many tailor-made AI solutions for companies.
