Accompanying Measure for the B@TS Funding Initiative – BEMA On
As part of the accompanying measure BEMA On (Accompanying Measure and Support for the B@TS Funding Initiative), Fraunhofer ISI supports the B@TS funding initiative through the organization of status seminars and by providing market data as well as technology, stakeholder, and policy analyses.
To this end, strategic monitoring and international benchmarking are conducted to assess Germany’s and Europe’s position with regard to competitiveness, sovereignty, and sustainability goals (transformation), while tracking developments during the 2024–2028 period (evaluation). Particular attention is given to the transfer of research results into industrial implementation and to deriving strategic courses of action. Among other sources, data from the Meta Market Monitoring platform serve as the information basis. Future technological developments in batteries and their applications are mapped through technology roadmaps.
Networking through scientific and technical dialogue among the researchers involved in the B@TS funding initiative is supported through status seminars. In addition to informing the project partners and the BMFTR, Fraunhofer ISI also reports the results of the accompanying measure to the Advisory Board for Battery Research (Beirat Batterieforschung). Together with the partners, the Advisory Board, and PTJ, recommendations are formulated for the BMFTR.
