Dr. Lukas Weymann

From 2011-2016, Lukas Weymann studied physics at the Leibniz Universität Hannover. He wrote his master thesis "Long-Term Gamma-Ray Timing of an Extreme Black Widow Binary Pulsar" at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics/Albert Einstein Institute. From 2016-2020, he completed his PhD in solid-state spectroscopy at the Vienna University of Technology and within the interdisciplinary Doctoral School "Solids4Fun". In his dissertation, he explored novel phenomena in magnetoelectric materials. Since 2017 he has been involved in science communication projects; since 2020 he is a host of the podcast "5MinutenClimateChance" (5mcc). Lukas Weymann started working as a research associate at the Competence Center New Technologies at Fraunhofer ISI in May 2021.
