Claus Doll PhD earned a degree in business economics at the University of Karlsruhe (TH), Germany in 1996. Here he started his professional career as research fellow and project manager in the field of transport economics at the Institute for Economic Policy Research (IWW). In 2004 he has elaborated his dissertation on transport infrastructure cost allocation and game theory at the Faculty for Economics. From 2005 on Claus Doll is working as senior researcher and project manager at Fraunhofer ISI's Competence Center Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems . Here he has co-founded the Business Unit Mobility, which he has been heading since May 2015. He is chairing the Working Group on Mobility of the Fraunhofer Transportation Alliance and is active in several international networks, such as the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS), the U.S. Transportation Research Board (TRB) and the European Conference of Transport Research Institutes (ECTRI).
