Linda Widdel worked as a researcher in the Department of Policy and Society of the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in Karlsruhe from September 2020 to August 2025. She writes her dissertation on the socio-political dimension of small hydropower at Technische Universität München. Linda Widdel holds a Master's degree in Democracy and Global Transformations from the University of Helsinki and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. In 2017, she spent a semester at the University of California, Berkeley. She wrote her master's thesis on sustainability transitions in the Group for Sustainability and Technology (SusTec) at ETH Zurich.
