Dr. Maria Stadler

Maria Stadler has been working in the Politics and Society Department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI since 2019. She studied Sociology of Science and Technology (MA) at the Technical University of Berlin and "Metropolitan Culture" (BA) at HafenCity University Hamburg. She completed her doctorate at the Technical University of Darmstadt in the field of urban and spatial sociology. In her dissertation, entitled Innovating Urban Governance. Climate Protection as a New Governance Task in the City of Mannheim, she examined how municipal governance changes in the context of urban climate protection. Her research interests lie in the governance of urban transformation processes, just transitions, social innovations and transdisciplinary research approaches.
