Chiara Ferrante

Chiara Ferrante joined the Competence Center "Innovation and Knowledge Economy" in March 2023. She studied economics at both undergraduate and Master level at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). In July 2021, she obtained a PhD in Economic Geography at Sapienza University of Rome with a thesis on the determinants of political preferences and the role of institutional quality, with applied studies on European regions and Italian municipalities. Since 2022, she worked for a year as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Spatial Dynamics Lab of University College Dublin. Her interests and experiences range from studies on the political geography to innovation economics, smart specialization policies and technology transfer.
