Foresight in the EU is a strategic approach to anticipate long-term challenges and opportunities to guide policy making and govern-ance. The joint EU-ANSA work on One Health provides a good context to develop further collaboration on Foresight. This project jointly addresses both One Health and Foresight. The project brings together several agencies of the EU-ANSA Futures Cluster and rel-evant Commission services for a participatory foresight process in the One Health approach
In the project, we explore future developments related to One Health and – together with the agencies - formulate strategic in-sights to improve the related inter-agency collaboration and to contribute to the preparation of the Commission's strategic fore-sight reports. One result will be a proof of concept for the design of sustainable inter-agency foresight process(es) under the coordina-tion of the EU-ANSA Futures Cluster. We provide a framework for inter-agency foresight cooperation, offering guidance for strength-ening the exchange of data, methodologies and practices for hori-zon scanning and foresight within the EU-ANSA Futures Cluster and with other EU agencies.
