Manish Khanra studied Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency for the Middle East and North Africa Region (M.Sc.) at the University of Kassel with an exchange semester in University of Cairo. In 2020, he finished his Master’s thesis on the topic, ‘’Portfolio Optimization for the Investment in District Heating Supply Systems’’ at Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology. The thesis was part of the project, ‘Transformation paths in the Heat Sector’, funded by BMWi.
Since November 2020, he is a researcher in the Competence Center Energy Technology and Energy Systems associated with the Business Unit Energy Management and Smart Grids.
