Dr. Ali Aydemir

Researcher

Ali Aydemir is a researcher since 2013 and project manager in the Competence Center Energy Technologies and Energy Systems at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI since 2017.

His research areas include the qualitative and quantitative assessment of technologies to improve energy efficiency or reduce greenhouse gas emissions in households, commerce and industry and the development of appropriate measures in these sectors. Strategic heat planning and decarbonisation of industry are further research priorities.

He studied industrial engineering and management at the University of Duisburg-Essen with a focus on energy and process engineering, where he graduated in 2010 with a master's thesis on solar thermal power plants. He then worked for Siemens AG until 2012 as a sales engineer in after-sales service for industrial compressors. In 2018 he was awarded a doctorate in engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt.
