Dr. Iris Angst

Iris Angst has been Project Co-ordinator for the Energy Technologies and Energy Systems, and Energy Policy and Energy Markets Departments at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI since April 2025. Prior to this, she spent six years working as an Industry Relations Manager at KIT, where her focus was on promoting exchange and collaboration between academia and industry. The focus was on establishing and maintaining partnerships between research institutions and companies, as well as identifying joint potential for innovation and collaboration.

Iris Angst studied biology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), followed by a PhD in genetics. She then spent six years working as an Industry Relations Manager at KIT, with a focus on promoting exchange and collaboration between academia and industry. The focus was on establishing and maintaining partnerships between research institutions and companies, as well as identifying opportunities for joint innovation and collaboration. In doing so, bridges were built between scientific excellence and industrial application in order to translate research findings into practical applications in a targeted manner and to promote the transfer of knowledge and technology.
