Dr. Viktor Paul Müller

Researcher

Since 2021, Viktor Paul Müller has been working as a researcher and project manager in the Business Unit Global Sustainable Energy Transitions, and since 2024 in the Business Unit Renewable Energies in the Department of Energy Policy and Energy Markets. He has coordinated and worked on various national and international projects.

His research focuses on energy system transformation and sector coupling, especially green hydrogen and Power-to-X. He also held positions as a lecturer in energy technologies at the University of Applied Sciences Bingen, and as a visiting researcher at the Global Sustainability Department of PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency in The Hague.

Viktor Müller studied Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc.) and Energy Science and Engineering (M.Sc.) at the Technical University of Darmstadt with semesters abroad at the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia and the Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa. His specialization in renewable energies was deepened by internships at Robert Bosch GmbH and the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE. In July 2025, he completed his PhD at Utrecht University on the topic »Towards an International Hydrogen Economy – Implications, challenges, and opportunities«.
