Sascha Lehmann

Sascha Lehmann is a researcher in the business unit Climate Policy in the Competence Center Energy Policy and Energy Markets. In his work, he focuses on the evaluation of targets and instruments of climate policy on the European and national level, but also on the analysis of emission abatement options of individual sectors. In particular, he works on the European Emissions Trading System, the Effort Sharing Regulation or the German National Fuel Emission Trading System. He works in projects related to the international, EU or national context.

He studied economics with a focus on empirical economic research, econometrics and social policy at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg. He graduated with a diploma in 2012. Between 2013 and 2017, he was a consultant at Stuewe Management Consulting in Cologne. In 2018, he joined the business unit Climate Policy at Fraunhofer ISI.
