Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISIFraunhofer ISI is an active institutional member of the German-language network TA (NTA) and supports the specialist portal OpenTA in this context. In 2018, it hosted the eighth international NTA conference (NTA8) in Karlsruhe. The institute is also a member of the European Technology Assessment Group (ETAG), within which it conducts research for the European Parliament (Science and Technology Options Assessment − STOA). It is also involved in global networks, for instance through its membership in the Virtual Institute for Responsible Innovation (VIRI), and in the global Technology Assessment Network (globalTA).
