Volkswagen Foundation - Concept Support Strategically developing potential

Support for the VolkswagenFoundation and the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture in setting up an impact-oriented monitoring system for the “Strategically developing potential” call for proposals in the zukunft.niedersachsen funding program. The call supports the higher education institutions in the state of Lower Saxony in the implementation of self-selected strategy development projects. In an initial project phase (February-May 2025), the project team developed a basic framework concept for the impact-oriented monitoring of the funding (until 2029/2030) jointly with the VolkswagenFoundation and the MWK. Building on this, the follow-up project (from July 2025) aims to co-creatively develop a flexible and tailor-made monitoring system that translates the different objectives of the involved higher education institutions in suitable indicators.

Objectives

Establishment of an impact-oriented monitoring system by developing a modular set of impact pathways to map the various implementation activities and a comprehensive catalogue of indicators as well as the development of report templates.
