Dr. Florian Roth

Project Manager

Florian Roth studied Political Science, History, Arts and Media at the University of Konstanz and the University of Stockholm, Sweden. Thereafter, he worked as a Research Fellow at the Department of Politics and Public Administration and as an Associated Researcher at the Centre of Excellence at the University of Konstanz. In 2011, Florian Roth joined the 'Risk and Resilience' Research Group of the Centre for Security Studies (CSS), at ETH Zürich, Switzerland. In several research projects with national and international partners, he has analysed the political, organizational and social dimensions of risk, and how to foster systemic resilience. In 2015, he successfully finished his dissertation on political risk-taking in complex contexts. From 2019 to 2022, Florian Roth worked as a project manager in the Competence Center Policy and Society at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI. Since 2022, he has been a senior researcher at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). In addition, Florian Roth is a Research Fellow at Fraunhofer ISI. His current research focuses on strategic measures to support research and innovation activities. Further, he works on social transformation processes in support of socio-technical resilience.
