Policy makers at European, national, regional and city levels are looking at emerging digital trends as they seek to transform industrial value chains through reliable, regularly updated and comprehensive data on digital transformation and Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) to support business stakeholders as they modernize European industry.

The study monitors and analyzes the development and deployment of digital and key enabling technologies across EU industry.

Fraunhofer ISI contribution to the study covers in particular

• the provision of various indicators, including patent analysis, trade data analysis, analysis of sectoral productivity, etc.
• development of detailed country reports for China and the United States of America
• development of detailed sectoral reports on the Automotive and the chemical sector
• development of reports on a number of key technologies
• the conception and organisation of a number of key thematic workshops
