Jan Walger studied Geo-Resource Management (B.Sc.) at RWTH Aachen. He then specialized in mining and completed the European Mining Course (M.Sc.) at Montanuniversität Leoben, RWTH Aachen, and Aalto University. From 2021 to 2024, he worked as a junior consultant on raw materials at the German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). Since 2024, he is at Fraunhofer ISI part of the business unit Raw Materials in the Department of Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems, researching resilience of raw material supply chains.
