Researcher

Leon Rostek is a Researcher at Fraunhofer ISI since 2020 and is based in the Department of Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems. There he focuses in particular on raw material cycles and their quantification using dynamic material flow analysis (MFA). His research focuses on the circular economy, recycling, resource efficiency, criticality and security of supply.

Leon Rostek received his doctorate in 2024 with the topic “Modeling the global zinc cycle with dynamic material flow analysis” at Clausthal University of Technology. He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in mechanical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
