Dr. Ir. Dorien Duffner-Korbee

Researcher

Dr. Dorien Duffner-Korbee has been working as a researcher and project manager in the Mobility Business Unit of the Competence Center Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems since 2022. Her main areas of research are social acceptance of sustainable innovation, in particular related to innovate forms of mobility.

Previously, she worked as a researcher at the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences. In this position, she conducted a stakeholder analysis and sustainability assessment of automated minibuses in European cities. This research was carried out within the EU H2020 project AVENUE.

Dorien Duffner-Korbee studied environmental sciences at the Utrecht University (Netherlands) and International Development studies at the Wageningen University (Netherlands).

From 2009 to 2014 she worked as a research associate at the Environmental Policy group at Wageningen University, where she obtained her PhD degree in 2015. Her PhD research focused on the environmental governance of marine infrastructural projects. She continued her academic work at the Technical University Delft (Netherlands), where she conducted research on actor coalitions in strategic delta planning in the Dutch, Vietnamese and Bangladeshi Deltas.
