The project develops an online benchmarking instrument for self-assessment of “Industrie 4.0 Readiness“ for companies of the manufacturing industry in Baden-Württemberg on the basis of representative operating data for the use of digital technologies in production.
The objective of the project is to develop a scientifically based instrument for self placement which permits the industry in Baden-Württemberg and individual companies to determine their degree of maturity on the way to the future vision “Industrie 4.0“. The instrument for self placement should be easily accessible and applicable for companies. We therefore suggest the concept, implementation and operation of an internet-based self assessment instrument which interested companies can access free of charge. The target group for this approach are primarily industry (users and suppliers) but also associations and policy makers.
