Daniel Berner

Daniel Berner studied Economics (B.Sc.) and International Business and Economics (M.Sc.) at the University of Hohenheim. He completed his master's degree with a qualitative thesis on sustainable business models in the bioeconomy. During both his bachelor's and master's degree courses, he spent a total of three semesters at partner universities in Japan (Kyushu University and Saitama University). Daniel also gained work experience during his studies, both in the private sector and with academic and applied research, in different departments at the University of Hohenheim and Fraunhofer IPA.

Since 2023, Daniel has been employed as a research assistant and doctoral student at the Competence Center "Innovation and Knowledge Economy" at Fraunhofer ISI. Together with his colleagues from the business unit "Industrial Change and New Business Models", he is investigating, among other things, the status of the digital transformation of and in SMEs in Germany.
