Julian Thoma studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), specializing in renewable energy systems and grid integration.
In his master’s thesis at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, he developed a regionally detailed grid capacity model for selected European countries to analyze the integration of charging infrastructure for electric trucks.
Since June 2026, he has been working as a research associate in the Energy Technologies and Energy Systems Department within the Climate-Neutral Industry business unit.
