Vanessa Schindler has been a researcher in the Energy Technologies and Energy Systems department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research since November 2025.
Her work focuses on industrial defossilization strategies, techno-economic and ecological assessments of energy technologies, and innovative approaches to life cycle analysis.
She studied Energy Science and Engineering at TU Darmstadt and NTNU Trondheim (M.Sc.) as well as Industrial Engineering at the University of Augsburg and INP Grenoble (B.Sc.). She then worked as a researcher at the Institute for Resource Efficiency and Energy Strategies (IREES) in Karlsruhe.
