Dr. Till Gnann

Researcher

Till Gnann has been working as a researcher in the department Energy Technologies and Energy Systems in the business unit Energy Economics since 2011. Prior to that, he studied industrial engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), at the Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and spent time abroad in Santa Clara, CA (USA). He then completed his Ph.D. at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) on the topic of "Market diffusion of plug-in electric vehicles and their charging infrastructure". At the end of 2016, during a research stay at Argonne National Lab (Chicago, IL), Oak Ridge National Lab (Knoxville, TN) and the US Department of Energy (Washington, DC), he collaborated on international exchange on the market diffusion of electric vehicles within IEA Task 25. From 2020 to 2025, he coordinated the cross-cutting topic »electric mobility«. Since 2026, he has been Associate Editor of the journal Transportation Research D: Transport and Environment.
