Robin Barkhausen

Researcher

Robin Barkhausen is working as a researcher at the Competence Center Energy Technologies and Energy Systems of the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI since February 2021.

His research areas include the qualitative and quantitative assessment of technologies for improving energy efficiency in households, trade and industry, as well as developing studies on the ecodesign of products.

In his bachelor he studied mechanical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and in his master Sustainable Energy Engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (KTH) and Energy Engineering and Management at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon (IST). As part of his InnoEnergy master programme he furthermore integrated courses at the ESADE Business School in Barcelona into his curriculum. In 2020, he wrote his master thesis at Fraunhofer ISI where he developed an end-of-life scenario analysis on Lithium-Ion batteries from passenger car electric vehicles.
