Şirin Alibaş, MSc.

Şirin Alibaş has been working as a researcher in the business unit Climate-Neutral Buildings of the Department of Energy Technologies and Energy Systems at Fraunhofer ISI since 2020. Her research focuses on the modeling and analysis of the building sector regarding the energy demand and the energy carrier mix, the CO₂ emissions and the investment and resource requirements, considering the renovation activities and the applicability of heating technologies as well as the influence of political measures. She completed her master’s degree in Sustainable Systems Engineering at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg in 2020. She wrote her master's thesis on “Simulation of PVT collectors as a heat source for heat pumps in multi-family houses” as part of the PVTSolutions and Smart Quarter Durlach projects at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE.
