Dr. Denis Stijepic


Denis Stijepic studied economics at the Goethe-University in Frankfurt (a.M.). From 2007 to 2019, he was a researcher and teaching assistant at the Macroeconomics Department of the University of Hagen (since 2011 a post-doc), where he focused on the following research topics: (a) neoclassical and system-theoretical modeling of the dynamics of economic structures, (b) interactions across the economic, socio-cultural, political, and ecological systems, as well as (c) applications of the resulting models in the analysis of, e.g., structural change, intermediate trade, offshoring, ageing, sustainability, inequality dynamics, economic growth and eco-nomic development in general. In 2019, Denis Stijepic joined the competence center Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems at Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI as a researcher.
