Katharina Schiller joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in October 2019 as a senior scientist in the Competence Center Policy and Society. She leads an in-house research project on sustainability transitions. Her doctorate from Wageningen University (NL) explores sustainability transitions of agri-food systems. During her doctorate, she worked in international agricultural research programs at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Nicaragua, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. During her MSc in 'Environmental Protection and Agricultural Food Production' at the University of Hohenheim, she worked at the University's Center for Food Security. Katharina Schiller is an active member of the 'Sustainability transitions in the Global South' and 'Agri-food Transitions' groups of the Sustainability Transitions Research Network (STRN), the international community of transitions scholars. In 2022, she was voted into STRN's Board.
