Mirja Meyborg trained as a banker. Afterwards, she studied economic sciences (Diploma) at the University of Wuppertal and the University of Birmingham (UK). During her studies, she was working at an international automotive supplier. From September 2008 until February 2013, she was employed as a researcher at the Institute of Economic Policy and Research at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Phd on the role of German universities in knowledge-intensive networks taking spatial components into account. Since February 2013, she is working at the Competence Center Policy and Society at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in Karlsruhe.
