Stephanie Heitel studied industrial engineering and management with focus on real estate & construction management and informatics at Technische Universität Darmstadt with related semesters abroad at the INPG Grenoble, France, and the Carnegie Mellon University, U.S.A. After her diploma she worked as consultant with Siemens Management Consulting and with BASF SE in the department of Corporate Real Estate Management for the region Europe. Between 2010 and 2016 she was researcher at the institute for Real Estate and Construction Management at the TU Darmstadt. Her dissertation project focuses on the management of housing companies challenged by multiple interests of diverse stakeholder groups. Since 2017 she has been working at Fraunhofer ISI in the Competence Center Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems. She contributes among others to the research projects SET-Nav and REFLEX on impacts of the transport sector on transforming the European energy system.
