Stephanie studied Industrial Engineering and Management with a focus on real estate and construction management as well as informatics at Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, with related stays abroad at INPG Grenoble, France, and at Carnegie Mellon University, U.S.A., at the Department of Advanced Infrastructure Systems. After completing her diploma, she worked at Siemens Management Consulting as a consultant and at BASF SE in the department of Corporate Real Estate Management with responsibility for the European region. From 2010 to 2016, she was a researcher and teaching assistant at the Department of Real Estate and Construction Management at TU Darmstadt, where she completed her doctorate on a stakeholder-oriented management approach for housing and municipal companies. Since 2017, she has been working at Fraunhofer ISI in the Competence Center Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems. Her work interests include topics related to urban transformation, resource efficiency, and system dynamics approaches to achieving sustainability goals.
