Dr. Simone Steinhilber

Degree in Applied Business Languages with a focus on Chinese at the HTWG Konstanz (University of Applied Sciences), Germany. Period spent studying abroad at the University of Jiangsu, Zhenjian, China. This was followed by three years working in the GIZ programme “Financial Sector Reform” in Beijing. Masters at the University of York, UK, with thesis on “lead markets and electric mobility”.

From March to December 2011 research assistant in the Competence Centre Energy Policy and Energy Systems at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, since January 2012 in the Competence Centre Energy Policy and Energy Markets.

  • Policy analysis of framework conditions for expanding renewable energies in the EU. Amongst others, Simone has worked for the already finalised Intelligent Energy Europe Project RE-Shaping, as well as the currently ongoing Intelligent Energy Europe Projects Keep-on-Track and Beyond2020.
