Thesis on “Co-tunneling Current and Shot Noise in Molecules and Quantum Dots” (Doctoral degree in Physics 2005). Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Functional Nanostructures (CFN) and at the University of Karlsruhe 2005-2006. Patent Engineer in the Field of Intellectual Property at the Firm Dr. Gassner & Partner, Patent Attorneys, Erlangen 2006-2007. Since 2007 Researcher and Project Manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI. Coordination of Nanotechnology activities at Fraunhofer ISI. Since 2009 Representative of Fraunhofer ISI in the Fraunhofer Alliance Nanotech (FNT). Since 2012 Representative of Fraunhofer ISI in the Fraunhofer Alliance Batteries. 2015-2018 Member of the working group 2.2 battery technology of the National Platform Electric Mobility (NPE). Since 2010 Deputy Head and since 2021 Head of the Competence Center Emerging Technologies. 2016-2023 Coordinator of Business Unit Industrial Technologies. Since 2015 permanent guest in the advisory board “Batterieforschung Deutschland” on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). Currently Lead of the Task Force “Education & Skills” in the Battery Sector within the EU ETIP Platform.
