Through our comprehensive and inter-disciplinary perspective, we provide a wide range of services for our clients, which are bundled in six Competence Centers (CC):

CC Energy Policy and Energy Markets

CC Energy Policy and Energy Markets examines how the political and institutional framework of sustainable energy systems can be designed, further developed and evaluated. It is structured in the four Business Units Renewable Energies, Energy Policy, Climate Policy as well as Electricity Markets and Infrastructures.

 
CC Energietechnologien und Energiesysteme

CC Energy Technology and Energy Systems analyzes innovative energy technologies and their contribution to a sustainable energy system from a strategic perspective. It consists of the Business Units Energy Efficiency, Energy Economy, Demand Analyses and Projections as well as Demand Response and Smart Grids.

 
CC Foresight

CC Foresight develops methods to identify and analyze long-term developments in society, industry and technology. It is comprised of the Business Units Future Alternatives and Society, Futures Thinking and Dialogs as well as Foresight for Strategy Development.

 
CC Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems

CC Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems analyzes the pre-conditions and possibilities to reduce emissions, improve resource efficiency and the sustainability of infrastructure systems. It contains the Business Units Water Resources Management, Sustainability Innovation and Policy, Systemic Risks as well as Mobility.

 
CC Emerging Technologies

CC Emerging Technologies analyzes the potentials, effects and design conditions for new technologies and develops options for action. It consists of the Business Units Bioeconomy and Life Sciences, Innovations in the Health System, Information and Communication Technologies as well as Industrial Technologies.
