The Competence Center Policy and Regions explores the mode of operation and changes in research and innovation systems at the supranational, national and regional level. It investigates the various institutions, instruments and strategies in industry, science and government which produce knowledge and technological innovations.
For our clients from politics, science and industry we devise concepts to develop new promotional instruments and funding programs, which provide theoretical and methodological approaches to generating strategic knowledge. In this context we use the latest indicators and evaluation concepts. The objective is to develop successful methods of active policy-making for our customers.
In our research we draw on a broad range of qualitative and quantitative analytical methods which we are continuously further developing. Among these are for instance surveys, document analyses, discursive practices and peer group analyses, but also patent, publication and social network analyses.
Our scientific studies, reports and consulting help our clients to understand current processes better, that societal institutions can bear knowledgeable, foresighted and effective influence on the system.
