Experience

Matthias studied Economics and International Relations at the University of St Andrews, Scotland from 2006 to 2010. He wrote his honours dissertation on the topic: “Can Liberal Democratic Capitalism be reconciled with Sustainable Development?” In 2012, Matthias completed an M.A. degree in Environmental Sciences at Columbia University, New York City, with a concentration on the interconnection of climate and society. During his time at Columbia, he worked as a research assistant on the evaluation of climate risks. In addition he completed internships in the areas of sustainable mobility and climate information services. Matthias joined Fraunhofer ISI as a researcher in April 2013.
