Studies of economics engineering at University of Karlsruhe.

Since April 2008 he has been employed as a researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in Karlsruhe in the Competence Center Industrial and Service Innovations. 

The main focuses of his research is the designing and assessment of service-based business models in the capital goods industry.
