Experience

Rainer Elsland has been working as a researcher at Fraunhofer ISI since 2010, first in the Competence Center Energy Policy and Energy Systems and then in the Competence Center Energy Technology and Energy Systems since 2012. Following his vocational training as an energy electronics engineer at EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, he went on to study industrial engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Offenburg and to obtain a Masters degree in the same subject at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). His thesis at KIT concerned the energy industry. Since 2013, he has had teaching assignments at the University of Applied Sciences in Offenburg, the University of Koblenz-Landau and the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University  in Lörrach.
