Dr. Tim Hettesheimer

Tim Hettesheimer is a researcher at Fraunhofer ISI since 2010 and project manager in the Competence Center Energy Technologies and Energy Systems at Fraunhofer ISI since 2017.

His research areas include strategic issues and analyses in the field of energy economics and efficiency of industrial production processes and value chains. He conducts techno-economic and multi-criteria analyses, develops strategic technology roadmaps, evaluates research results and prepares preliminary ecodesign studies.

He studied general mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He completed his doctorate at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology at the Institute of Industrial Management and Industrial Production there on the subject of "Strategic Production Planning in Young Markets using the Example of the Lithium-Ion Traction Battery".
