Dr. Stephanie Daimer

Coordinator of Business Unit Policy for Innovation and Transformation, Project Manager

Stephanie Daimer is coordinator of the Business Unit "Policy for Innovation and Transformation" in the Competence Center Policy and Society and has worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI since 2008. She holds a Masters degree in political science from the University of Passau (Germany) and received her doctoral degree in political science from the University of Mannheim (Germany) in 2008. She is interested in the analysis and evaluation of national and European research and innovation (R&I) policies and governance. Stephanie Daimer has worked on the effects of policies and other framework conditions on organisations and individuals performing research and innovation. From 2012 to 2015, she coordinated the Forward Visions on the European Research Area – VERA project (FP7). 2013-2019 member of the Executive Committee of the European Forum for Studies of Policies for Research and Innovation (Eu-SPRI-Forum). 2014-2015 member of the expert group Foresight on Key long-term Transformations of European systems: Research, Innovation and Higher Education (KT2050) of the European Commission. From 2011 to 2014 she coordinated the Evaluation study of the funding measure Validation of the Innovation Potential of Scientific Research – VIP for the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). In 2015-2016 Stephanie Daimer worked for the OECD as an expert on universities' adaptation to knowledge triangle policies.
